He taught several accounting and auditing subjects both at the Australian Catholic University and Tafila Technical University. His research Interests are in auditing, international standards on auditing, corporate governance, audit committees, and has publications in referred journals. He has also held positions at Tafila Technical University such as head of accounting department and the vice-dean of the school of business.

Dr Waleed Abdel-Qader holds a PhD in auditing from the University of Western Sydney. He has a vast experience in teaching accounting and auditing subjects; undergraduate and postgraduate, and supervises research students both at the masters and PhD levels at the Australian Catholic University. He has publications in conferences and referred journals and he is a member of CPA.
